I was in Belgium, telling stories at a wonderful storytelling festival, when I met a young Dutch woman called Samora. She was there to tell a stories too, but over lunch she told me she was also an artist. She pulled out her phone to show me what she drew - and instantly I knew I had found the perfect person to illustrate my next book, The Magic Pear Tree.

​This  is hopefully going to be the first book in a series. Every book will tell the story behind one of the portraits in the tower.
